PT Boats in Formation

Loving this game, but...

PT boats that are put into any kind of formation spend a lot of time jostling for position and damaging themselves by hitting each other.

In short, at present PT boats can't be put into formation.

I haven't had this problem. I usually put them in a staggered position, 1 behind and to the right/left of the other one.

Yes, that's pretty much the kind of formations I try to use. Sometimes it works, sometimes not...

I think the problem mainly occurs if the PT's are close to each other when I create the formation. They seem to get stuck on each other, and because they don't have a lot of health, the damage shows up quite quickly.

I suspect the problem also occurs for larger ships, but because they have much more health, the damage is negligable and not easily seen.
