Smile The single player is aweomse! *ending spoiler*

It is lots of fun. The best single player missions I've played in a very long time. The US Campaign is grrrrrreat, many unexpected things happened especially in the battle of midway turning point. And the challenges are the way they should be....well...challenging.

Great job Eidos Very glad that I bought this game.

Screenshot of the avengers sinking the Soyru and ending the game!

Yeah, I'm having a blast playing through the campaign. Some levels are quite challenging, too!

Default And

for those who didn't know, it has been reported on Gamefaqs that IF you complete ALL the secret objectives in the US campaign, there is a Japanese campaign as well!

So much for the reviews that say the ONLY con to this game is:
"The single player campaign is too short"

They obviously did not get all the secret objectives and unlock the *secret* campaign.
I posted another thread about completing the secret objectives if anyone has stuff to add, I would like to unlock the Jap campaign as well.

Can anyone confirm that? I think I got about half the secret objectives, and some of those missions I have no desire to play again (not because they suck, but because they are frustratingly hard)

Thanks for ruining the game, now I know the USA wins the way.

Just kidding. The single player is definitely really fun. My only wish was there was some kind of multiplayer co-op. The art of multiplayer co-op games nowadays is definitely dead.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but the single player game is horrible. I got the game Wednesday... got home from work about 6pm and started playing, and had beat the single player campaign on Rookie by 11pm. Now I guess I'm just supposed to play through the same 10 missions again on Veteran and call it a day?

And don't even get me started on the "Challenges". They're challenging alright, but only due to poor design.
"Hey, let's throw as many planes as we can at them so close to the edge of the map that they don't have time to intercept and destroy them!" "BRILLIANT!!"
"Oh, I know, let's make them kill a CL/DD/DD with their CL/DD/DD... then they can kill another set.. then another set... then another set... then ANOTHER SET!!" "BRILLIANT!!"
"Let's make a campaign about silent hunting where as soon as you start, the silence is broken because a DD is already on its way to come kill you!!" "AMAZING!!"

I haven't played Multiplayer yet, because none of my friends have bought the game. Based on my recommendations, none of my friends will, either. It's a shame too... I'm assuming the game is centered around multiplayer, because the single player campaign is abysmally short and the challenges are lacking sorely in the "fun" area.

I for one am tired of seeing single player play completely forgotten and sacrificed for multiplayer-centric games. Not all of us want to play online with potty-mouthed 12 year olds shouting racial slurs and barking orders with their pre-pubescent voices.

P.S. I'll believe the Japanese campaign rumor when I see it.

i have none of those problems online because i only play with people on my friends list. and if any little kids slip into our servers in any game, they usually last about 2 minutes before we kick them. you never know, your friends might like the game, even if you dont. i would tell them to rent it and try it out. the game's not for everybody.

I generally don't like posting/restating what others have said but I think this is a special case.

I agree - I think the missions are excellent. Besides, it is not often that a software house is praised in the forums, usually it is only the bad things.

Great work guys!

Great work guys!

This is going to bring up some old memorys.
Yes the US campain is enjoyable
But i had completed it in the first week with about 8 hours played.
For the future eidos, this isn't long enough for £39.99
It's such a great game engine, if only they had spent a little more time on it.
