Default Why is there no Iowa-class battleships?

why arent the Iowa-Class BBs in this game, they were the msot modern BBs of the time, they were the last US BBs to be built and they were used in the pacific war. The japanese surender was signed on the deck of the USS Missouri wich was a Iowa_class, so whya are they not ingame. The Missouri was used in the Battle of Iwo Jima and the Battle of Okinawa, and shelled the Japanese home islands of Hokkaidō and Honshū. i onyl speek of the Missouri because its the 1 i know msot about.

USS MISSOURI (BB-63)

Class: Iowa Battleship
Launched: January 29, 1944
At: New York Naval Shipyard, Brooklyn, New York
Commissioned: June 11, 1944

Length: 887 feet, 3 inches
Beam: 108 feet, 2 inches
Draft: 37 feet, 9 inches
Displacement: 57,500 tons
Armament:Nine 16-inch/50 caliber guns; twelve 5-inch/38 caliber guns

I think this would be a great addition to the US ships ingame maybe in a later patch or something.

You know it is possible that they don't want to give away everything that is in the game.

Also, I'm sure there are balancing issues and other reasons why they might choose to exclude a certain class ship or type of plane.

There's also been posts saying there will be downloadable content.

oh the game ends in 42, well than thats it, sorry, i thought it included the whole war, im still new to this game ive known of it but i never dug really deep into it, i just looked at the list of ships and saw that iowa was not there, i just automatically assumed the game covered the whole war, not many games only cover a part, still the game is great.

This is something one should never do before posting.

call of duty 3 covered just the Normandy breakout, i think it is the same with same with brothers in arms, they just cover one small part of the war
you should look for it before you post, people are constantly asking why some plane (ex. the corsair) or some ship isn't in the game when if they looked they would see that it has already been explained many times before
if you don't know something, use the search to see if someone has already asked the same question, if they haven't, then make a thread

well yes i realise that now, but as you said call of duty 3 only covered the normandie invasion and such, but it amkes sense seeing that was the only time the US forces and the allied were in europe and able to actually advance. anyway im sorry for posting this, i guess i really should have really realised this from the title, midway wich was in 1942, but thats not always the case as well, battlefield 1942 was named that but it covered evrything. Anyway im jus gettign way off topic now.

this is a good sign as they may make a sequel that's even better that includes the rest of the war......(improved graphics, co-op vs AI play, leaderboards and clan support including a rank system like R6Vegas, etc...)

Ok, this is to end all of the 'why is ____ not in the game?' questions.

A huge part of games is balance. There were IJN and US 'war machines' that probably could have taken out every single unit in this game at the same time. But that wouldn't be fair.
Don't ask why something isn't in the game, just be thankful each side has a fighting chance against the other.

IGN AU: The game looks like it's going to kick some major booty, so what's next in the series? Any other features you'd love to include in a sequel or expansion pack?

Klaude Thomas: We'd love to add more content and historical detail in the sequels, for example experimental (but real) craft, early jets and rockets, submarine-launched aircraft (and Cruiser launched FBs), interesting and forgotten battles, and of course we would like to introduce new theatres of operation.

We also wanted to see the biggest US warship, the Iowa, match-up against Yamato…
