Wow, Surigao Strait and Samar. These were in October, 1944. Is this right?? I thought the game ended at Midway. If so, Yippee, cool!!

there are some awesome battles on there

im so excited to see the Battle of Surigao Strait on there
my grandpa fought there and torped a jap cruiser from his pt boat after the captain and torp gunner had taken cover, then he set off the smoke so they could get out of there. Earned him a Silver Star and a Purple Heart since he was hit by shell fragments.

I thought I had read somewhere that there were 11 missions in the single player campaign and 12 "objective based" mission (not multiplayer)... Can anyone confirm or deny please?

[EDIT] I checked the EIDOS website and it says: Features 11 epic campaign missions, 12 bonus challenge missions, naval training academy and an immersive storyline. I'm pretty sure the bonus challenge missions are not MP missions... Or are they? Can anyone confirm?

Yes you are right there are 12 single player "challenge missions"

I did not include the challenge mission in this list.

The challenge mission are not the MP missions, they are seperate. There are 3 plane, 4 ship, and 3 sub challenge missions.

I am afraid that there are no F4U Corsairs in this game at this time. I wish there were but hopefully it will make it as downloadable content for the 360 or someone will put it in as a mod for PC. The P38 Lightning would be nice too!
