Problem With Graphics

i know this has been recently posted but the problem is that i dont understand what was being said.

heres my problem



when i load up the game it stays Black for abit then goes onto the screen
with NewGame and Continue

I click new game, because ive only just had it today then it stays black all together..

please help me as this is the best game i have ever played on the ps1 and i had to order it on Ebay. I dont rly want to have that gone to waste

You should get Riva TNT patch from official support page, and update ff7config.exe and ff7.exe to enable D3D harware acceleration.

I had same issue. Did you install the movei player? It's some ancient codec and movies won't play without the player installed. It got me further into the game...but still not winning...
