Stuck where I shouldn't be!

I somehow found myself in an area I had already been through in the Africa level. I'm stuck because the objects I need to help me have already been used and moved, and I can't go back as a gate has closed behind me. Is there any way to start the level again?

Would that be jumping over the traps at the beginning and diving under the gate? Or after the door closes to battle Rutland? Or none of the above...

I'm in the large room with 2 water wheels and can't get past the moving poles and spinning blades. It's just before the huge stone ball chases you like in Indiana Jones.

Ahh. Why can't you go through them again? Or does it just take you back to the water wheel room?
Have you opened the water channel? I assume you have from what you said in your first post.

I can't get through because the large stone blocks that I pushed in front of me the first time through are not there any more as I've used them and moved them.

Umm... You're stuck between a rock and a hard place my friend. No pun intended.
Well... If it's of any consolance, most likely not, I've made it through twice without using them. It may seem impossible, but I didn't realize that's what they were there for...
You're best bet most likely is to restart though.
If you haven't gotten killed attempting it, maybe you should try killing yourself to start at the previous checkpoint and maybe they'll re-appear. Im not sure.
Otherwise I don't know what to say.

O M FG!!! i am having the exact same problem in the exact same place! this is how dumb i am...ok, i get past ALL that and get to the next check point after the rolling ball of death and then i fall in the water down below. THEN this is where i really am stupid. i go to the very first thing that u do in that level and go to the checkpoint there, AND I KEEP GOING IN!!!!! so now im right back at those fans but ive already used the concrete blocks! i feel like an ass! and ok i cried when i knew thats what i would have to do.....lol

I had to restart too from checkpoints as it looked impossible to get back
where you were. If you get stuck and want to see where to go next you

damn, it sucks when you're stuck there.
It is actually possible and not to hard to get through those deathtraps again without the movable blocks and without dying.
As you enter that area and stand before the spears/poles of death, stand as close to them as you can and simply press the jump or dive/roll button. Do the same thing to the remaining two.
Now for the slicing blades: you just need the right timing (as with the previous trap, one wrong move and Lara won't be able to get up fast enough and will be killed quite quickly). Anyway, it's not that hard, as I said it's only timing: as soon as the upper blades start traveling away from you, run toward it, and jump over the botom blades. By then the upper blades would have returned so just dive under them. Tadaa!
Oh, btw, a nice little trick with the rolling bolder: you don't actually have to vear right and left and jump over the spears: as soon as the cutscene ends with the boulder hurtling towards you, just run forward a little in a straight line and dive/roll underneath the spears, that way you don't waste time running right and left.
