Default 89 Ford Probe GT

whats the deal? no probe. I could smoke any stock Mustang GT up to 98 when my probe was stock. It would smoke half the models in this game. I and countless others wont be buying this game due to the lack of a probe. That is all.

Yet another addition to the Ford Racing franchise and still no Probe?!?
Every time I hear the next Ford Racing addition is coming out, I check the official site for one thing... Is there a Probe in the game? It seems that yet again, it has been overlooked. Perhaps it's because I'm a bit biased being the proud owner of both an 89 & 95 Probe, but I belive these cars are more than deserving a place in this game. These are after all racing games. Cars such as the Ka, Escort, Taurus, Explorer & Expedition have been included. Yet the Probe remains omitted. This is, after all, the car that was intended to replace the Mustang (of which there are certainly no shortage of). After that planed relacement failed it was built as an alternative to the Mustang and won car of the year honors in 1993. I belive the Probe is more than deserving. No offence intended towards the cars that were included, however. I am a loyal Forn owner and will remain that way. It's just mind boggling that this obvious entry remain excluded. Perhaps I'm unusually dedicated to this little gem that Ford forgot, but there are more like me. I will not be buying this game for two reasons:

1. There is no Probe.
2. I still have a PS1.

However if a Probe were included in the next Ford Racing, or any, game I would purchase it & the required platform for that fact alone.
Please consider incluing the Probe in your next version (89-92 and/or 93-97).
If you did I can assure you of at least one proud purchaser.

Thanks.

James

I totally agree! If the probe would make it's appearence I KNOW there would be thousands of people who would buy the game because of that. In my opinion that looks like a BIG Win-Win situation!
For whatever reason the Probe was left out was a big mistake. I and ALOT of others would kill to see it made reality in the future. It would be a good investment and overall good addition to any game.

Thanks

Grant

I can't believe the probe didn't make yet another Ford Racing game. I would of thought by now there would be one. Every time I pick up a game box and read what types of cars it has listed I can't help to put it back on the shelf. One probe from each generation would be great. I know I'd buy it.

I do know one thing, this game was published in the UK first. You might notice car models being slightly different then you are used too. This is because many of the car models are based on the UK models, so its possible the Probe was called something else over there, I don't know, I'm not that big of a Ford fanatic. ;-)

They had probes in Great Britain as well, but only the 2nd gens, and they were still called probes. They had both generations all over the rest of Europe though.

While I would dispute the claims of stock Probes, thats not the topic here. 10 Ten Fords I wish were in this game:

1. 68 GT Fastback 390 (Bullitt)
2. Early 90s Taurus SHO
3. 1969 Torino Talladega
4. T-Bird Super Coupe
5. 1969/1970 Mach 1 SCJ
6. 1971 Boss 351
7. 1986 SVO Mustang
8. Any Probe GT (Turbo or V6)
9. 1964 Galaxy 427
10. 1964 Ford Thunderbolt
