monitor issue

when i start total overdose, there is this irritating message from my monitor displaying a small grey screen with a question and a little arrow to another screen, a green one with '1280*1024 660hz' in it. i can't get it to go away, and it's quite irritating to play with that stupid message being onscreen all the time, it basicly blocks the main character :s
