Games Master to exclusively reveal next Tomb Raider. Apparently.

A member of our forum reports that Games Master will unveil the next Tomb Raider from developer Crystal Dynamics in next months mag, which goes on sale Sep 28.

We shall see.

That's right. Whether or not this actually makes the transition from promo to publication remains to be seen. This certainly wouldn't be the first time a popular video-games magazine has touted a Tomb Raider exclusive only to bail out at the last minute.

Dissapointed? Ohhh no I wasn't even close of the dissapointment, I loved the game, the graphics, Lara, you name it. Just I wish it was longer.

I'm pretty sure he meant that the magazines kept promising new Legend stuff to be revealed in the next month magazine and when that one came out, surprise - nothing about TR inside.

Yes, throwing your money away on things you know nothing about is always the most sensible way to make purchases.

Well hopefully it is a remake/reinterpretation of Tomb Raider 1 and 2, although we might need more than 1 screen shot to be sure, cannot tell very much from just one.

Would it be more interesting if they're working on a continuing story after Legend, rather then on the remake of older Tomb Raiders???

They are already working on Tomb Raider 8 which is the Legend continuation. It is a seperate team working on the AE game, so will not slow down Tomb Raider 8.The question is if the anniversary game is a remake/reinterpretation or at least something with a vaguely similiar story line to Tomb Raider 1, or whether it will be something new celebrating 10 years of Tomb Raider. This will be the only time they do this, they have already said it was a one off, and all the magazines seem to think it will be some sort of remake. And the rumour l heard was that if they had time they would do both 1 and 2, and it was not the Core game they were talking about, it was the crystal Dynamics one. Why would it not be fitting to celebrate 10 years of Tomb Raider by remaking the game that started it all, especially as so many of the new fans have never played it, and might not considering its graphics, difficulty obtaining it and trouble getting it to run on modern PC's

Well the advert actually said nothing about Crystal Dynamics as being the maker of the game, So it could have been the DVD game

Nope apparently not, they shot of their mouths before they had the article stitched up tight and had to withdraw it apparently. Never again will l believe anything printed on the cover of a Game Master magazine, they are too unreliable

That's sux!!!!! It's already October 19th and still no information for TR AE!!!??? No pics or trailers as well, probably not even close.
When will the first info come out, anyone have any clue?

Only a guess, but l would think the veil of secrecy might lift slightly at Christmas time, considering it is meant to be a suprise l was not expecting to hear a lot, although confirmation of what exactly the game is going to be would have been nice
