I am running a fx5900 on 1.2 patch with shademodel set to 1.
My shadows are messed. For an example... On the opening level you have to break a power box that kills the lights to a danceroom. You are then meant to sneak past in the dark... The problem is the room is brightly lit (or at least the polygons in the room are not being effected by lighting) and the models(people) are blackened out. Infact most of the time (even in cutscenes) the models are over shaded and appear black a lot of the time. It is like the shading language is screwed up or the stencil shadow isn't working as intended (if they even use stencil, I can't tell its so corrupt) I am running 91.31 Nvidia gfx driver on a clean machine. I have tried playing with pixel/vertex settings with no joy. This is a new gfx driver and my other games are tweaked, so I do not fancy the idea of farting around with gfx drivers. Post-processing is disabled (not much choice really unless I want 10fps) Everything else is high (Anti alaising and anistropic is OFF) 1280x1024 res gives a clear enough image with faint jaggies. Anyone else have this problem? Oh and the charactors (inc agent 47) are not casting a shadow to the floor (I presume they are meant to?) Last edited by TheyThief; 07-29-2006 at 11:58 AM. |
