Question Cathedral Key

Has anybody figured out what the Cathedral Key we get in tr3, London levels is for? I know Stella's site says no one knows, but hey, there's gotta be a reason for it.

It's a secret and if you get all secrets, you get to play the bonus level All Hallows at the end of the game. It's supposed to be the key to that cathedral.

When they scrapped the cathedral level for the full game, they turned the key into a secret, rather than get rid of it. The "bonus level" is that incomplete cathedral level. You can tell the cathedral level was never finished properly because it's actually possible to do things in the wrong order and become hopelessly stuck. I surmise that is why they removed the level and just threw it in as a "bonus" for those who found all the secrets. It must have been too much hassle to fix the level, as they were under time constraints to get the game onto store shelves in time for Xmas that year.

So All Hallows actually would have been a full level? That's pretty cool. I wonder how much different it would have been from how the bonus level is............

Hmm...........maybe someone should or could recreate All Hallows on LE, and finish it in an entirely different way. Now that'd be really awesome!

From what I know, there isn't. But what you can do is get the savegame from Stella's site.
