K, so if U didn't like Tomb Raider Legend or think it wasn't the best TR ever, what TR would you like to play with the graphics engine of TRL. Maybe they will think remaking a TR with this engine before doing another one. So witch one would you like?

The first 4, I have them all on the PC and Playstation, once every few months I play them from 1 to 4
The others are not worth buying to me, in fact I just sold TRL for 10 euros |

The one and only original ofcourse
![]() It would just be so satisfying to see The Lost Valley in all the Next Gen glory ![]() Plus didnt TR have like 20+ lvls? ![]() They could change some of the puzzles and enemy encounters around, maybe add a completely new level or two, a new ending....I'd definitely happily pay £50 to buy that ![]() but its almost certain it would never happen, just have to wait for Princess of Persia 2 now :P |

Definitely parts 1 and 4... those were the best.
Part one had more location variety, so it gets points for that, but part 4 really excelled in terms of puzzles, plot, exploration, etc. If CD could make a new Tomb Raider game that captures epic feel of Last Revelation, it would be awesome.

TR 2 and 5 are my favorites so I'd love to see those remade. Especially the snowmobile level in part 2 and the hi tech security place in part 5 where you have to go through that x-ray machine. Those would be awesome.

TR 4 - it's long and epic - when I go through my mind all the story, things and puzzles that were put in this game, it's amazing - it was so long and practically full of 100% TR style traps and puzzles - and they were the best puzzles in any TR game - technologically and artistically - I remember playing it after TR 3 and it was like "did they achieve this things with the same engine? - Why does TR 3 seem so bleak with only an year difference in releases?". I still can't understand why was TRC such a weak game after TLR, which had so much work put into it and TRC had 100% the same engine.
It's an achievemnt to play through the whole game - not only because of it's puzzles or because it's tedious (though yeah, the controls sucked like any other TR game - but they were the only real weak point), but because the sheer length of it - when I think about it at this moment, I can't recall the whole story - from start to end - and I know it was great - it was just so long and with so many twists and turns - really an epic game - as much as CD's own LoK games - when I learned that they'd be making TR7 i was hoping for something far more like TR 4 than what TRL is. Also The Last Revelation was the one making most sense of them all and the most unlinear one - which was kinda badly implemented - although everything made perfect sense once you've gone through it, there weren't many clues on where to go next. Practically everything caught you by surprise - which is good, but not for every single thing - story and gameplaywise - which can be fixed with the new technologies and all available cutscenes and story-telling methods. But definately if there's a TR 8, it must be more like TR 4. Last edited by Kozey; 04-09-2006 at 09:41 AM. |

I'd have to say Tomb Raider : Angel of Darkness with the Legend Engine.
Given quite a lot of the playtime through Legend it kept giving me the feel of what Angel of Darkness was ment to be like... I think it would be an awesome combination. |
