Amanda - Unlockable Character???

Can someone explain how an unlockable character works? Do you have to finish the game to play Amanda? Does she have the same adventure Lara does or will it be Amanda's story?

You finish game in a normal way. Then in EXTRAS section or something like that, there unlocks custom outfits/characters. You choose character/outfit and play the game, once again, but this time as Amanda. At least, this is how it is in other games like Bloodrayne 2.

I don't think she will have another story. Just the same game, with Amanda model.

Then what will be the advantage to playing as Amanda if she does the same things Lara already did? Think there will be new secrets or unlockables to collect?

Catch is the same thing you get when playing game - fun. That is all. But of course, it is not necessary you like this feature. In Bloodrayne 2 for example, they just unlocked custom outfits for Rayne. So if I wish replay game later on, I play it with my fave outfit - Dragon Gown. In case of TRL, I guess this is a custom character, not an outfit. Which actually should be a lot fun, coz when you play with new character later on, it is as if you are not playing Tomb Raider but some other new game. I find this a good thing - but I would prefer to have custom Lara outfits rather than a character.

Amanda's task ? as it appears from the site info is to
continue effectively as Lara. I'm not sure about all these
extra characters. I think the concept could be compared to
driving games where you drive a Ferrari then a Mini Minor.

If by 'young Lara' you mean Lara a few years previously, in her green top as she was in the previous games, then we've seen screens of her.

If you mean child Lara, then there's a picture of her somewhere. CD have already released a lot of material - they are obviously keeping some things back, because it wouldn't be so fun if we played the game and knew EVERYTHING

I don't think Lara's gonna be dying on us anytime soon...

But you never know these days
