Default AJ documentary featuring new Legend footage

Greetings.

A member of our forum has recorded yesterday's Angelina Jolie documentary which includes scenes from Tomb Raider Legend and an interview with Adrian Smith. Full details below:

Hmm, I haven't got to the Legend part yet (other than the trailer shots at the beginning). I kind of gave up when they obsessed about the intimate details of AJ's sex life for about 15 minutes.

But thanks for the promise of better subjects.

Clearly my brain was switched off. Read Simon West, not Adrian Smith.

Humm, saw this on Sky the other night, and couldn't help noticing the Butler conversational pieces going on in the background of the gameplay. The stilted stereotypical unimaginative voice brought back bad memories of other games played in the past. We'll have to wait and see how that one pans out.

Isn't there nothing wrong with that?

Thanks ML2U. Some excellent pictures of Lara and scenery. They give me hope.

Although... LOL @

Butler: "I must say I'm impressed Lara" and "I assume you have something in mind".
Lara: "Don't I usually?"

Compare this to to opening scene in TR1 where Lara treks across mountainous Peru. After being attacked by a pack of wolves her guide is savagely killed. The snowy wind howls behind her as the ancient granite door slams shut. Lara is alone, isolated in a remote cave, away from civilization. It's just herself now against the elements, nature and ... who knows ...

I remember thinking at the time, oh this is good but could be better. If only ... the Butler suddenly coughs in Lara's earpiece, "What-o Lara, that was jolly well close. I must say we're stuck now. Those look like bats over there Lara dear, best get your guns out and shoot them, what."

Oh much better.

Oh yes. Much. 'And while you're at it, Miss Croft, may I suggest that you try pushing the levers in the order 1,4,2,7? And that there appears to be a villain hiding behind the -- ' Now is the time that remote-controlled bomb located back at Croft Manor comes in useful...

Come on CD!! What are you thinking?!! Occasional butler remarks are fine, but we don't want to have every puzzle spoiled by either Lara or the hired help.

Remember there are 3 difficulty levels in the game. Who knows, the hints could be automatically disabled in the hardest setting (or maybe an option will be available to turn them off). In this case, the comments we're hearing would be limited to during and/or shortly after the cut scenes. Just speculation on my part, but it would be nice for the more experienced "raiders" amongst us who want more of a challenge. Guess we'll find out for sure in a few months time.

Hehehe

"Don't worry Lara, I'll bring it to you and show you how to fix the wires. It's about time I topped your Thermos up anyway. And, then I can talk to you about what a real lady...no wait, that's not right, I'm parodying the film version of me...crumbs, who am I again and why am I telling Lara how to adventure?"

Hopefully though it is just the training level (although I thought they were bringing back the house for that), or we can turn it all off. Amen.

This game looks sooooo promising. I hope they follow through.

and I hope Lara's mansion is on the game or at least a new home... didnt the butler sell all her stuff in Chronicles or something? I remember scenes of the house being empty, right?

I can't watch the video. What codecs should I have? Even Windows Media Player won't play it. It WILL look for codecs server but won't download a thing (and just between us, that darn thing never worked properly for me). Irfanview recommends me visiting www.fourcc.org and looking for additional plugins, but there are like a TON of codecs.

Any help is welcome.

Hi Treeble.

Try these sites..

http://www.xpcodecpack.com/
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...k_All_in_1.htm

Just remember not to check any boxes for a new video player.

There is a slightly different version at www.tombraidercentral.net It has Angelina Jolie in it during her premiere for the first movie.

Nice job Ben.

Guess what? I was looking at some of the older footage of legend... are we sure all of this is new? Some of the Legend footage from the AJ documentary is not new....

Looks all new to my eyes (especially the bit with Angelina in the green dress which I particularly enjoyed).
