I'm glad you're using anim8or. I use this program to make objects and now AIs.
I really love anim8or. If you need any help with anything, just ask. |

Aren't the tutorials on the website, www.anim8or.com? Or are you talking about making the models move in Thief?

Im talking about models move in Anim8or, but thank you - i guess the tuttorials in Anim8or site should do the work, i've never paid attention to them before.

While waiting for the voices to wrap my current FM project for Beta I got to playing around with animor again and redid the eggplant tutorial. I also tried Sluggs crate tutorial at http://www.jasonotto.net/tutorials/crate/crate.html but I seem to be stuck on the part where you select the old part of the crate and hit EDIT/HIDE. I did that but the old part hasnt disappeared!

Get into Object/Edit mode (The topmost arrow: http://www.jasonotto.net/tutorials/crate/normalmode.jpg ) and click anywhere on the part of the object that is to be hidden. You should see a white bounding box.
Then Edit > Hide. |

Ok, got it. The crate uses metal textures that are already in T2, only thing now is how do you convert an animor file into a useable .bin file for the game?

Go to Object > Export, and select the .3ds file type.
Then, use Nameless Voice's 3ds -> bin program (from the Utilities section of his website: http://www.geocities.com/nameless_voice/ ) |

Okay I got the file and the other files it says it needs in the txt file, but now I get an error message: Componet 'MSCOMCTL.OCX' or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

Search your windows directory and see if that file is in WINDOWS\system32
If not, search for it on Google, download it and put it in that folder. If the file already exists, or you still get the error after you've put it in the correct place, you may have to manually register it: http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q108199 Last edited by R Soul; 07-03-2006 at 02:39 PM. |

Nice objects John
Quote:
The download links are dead, but the objects should be stored in his latest fanmission (Annihilated), with all his other objects.

No, they're not in Annihilated. They'll be in my next factory FM, and there's one in my next small FM, which is based on the movie "The Fog" which should be coming out within a fortnight.
I'll send you the files John via email, if you have that option enabled. Not sure when that'll be though as my ISP is messing around right now and i can't do very much!
