Game controller problem

I seem to have 2, I think related, problems with Legos Star Wars. When I insert the game CD it runs the install program even though I have already installed it. After I exit the install and try to run the game my Logitech Dual Action game pad won't work with the game. When I first installed the game the game pad worked fine but now since it trys to install every time I put the CD in, the game pad won't work with the game. Can someone help?
