TR2 missing video?

Hi all new member here.

I am playing TR2 and just finished the "Temple of Xian" level. Isn't there supposed to be a cut scene after that level? According to the walkthrough I have there is. When I finished the level it took me directly to "Floating Islands".

Just to be sure I downloaded a utility that will play RPL files and played everyone of the files in the FMV folder from the disk and there is no scene as the walkthrough described (something about Bartolli using the dagger). I am very dissapointed . Can anyone help me by telling me what the file is supposed to be and where I might find it?

This is not one of the video cutscenes, it is an in-game one. You will not find it as a video file in the folder. I am not sure if it would be at the end of that level, the beginning of the next, or a seperate level all together. I think the first option is more likely.

Perhaps you can find a download of that original level and replace the old one. I don't have the PC version of TR2, else I would help you out. Sorry.

I had a problem with the cutscene crashing the game after the Dragon was killed, but not there, that continued ok.

I do not think that these are the correct cutscenes. The one for which you are looking is probably part of the level itself. Like I said, I think the easiest way to test it would be to get a different copy of just that level file. Also, do the rest of your cutscences work fine? Did you see that monk that told Lara what the story was in the rig levels? This is a cutscene of the same type I believe; if it worked, then it is probably for sure that particular level file.

I happen to have a problem with the FMV's in my Tomb Raider 2-game. Somehow the FMV's don't run smoothly. There is a little disturbance/glitch in the first 2 FMV's (the one with the eidos/core-logo and the Chinese war-flashback) and it's almost certainly because the TR2-disc wants to run again and because of that the computer stops the game for a moment and lets it run again when the disc is running as well.

it's all very confusing, but somehow it'd be better if the disc were running all the time or something ..... unless that's of course unhealthy for my computer, ok?
