Blood Omen 1 -Save game issues

Hi, I'm new.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but it does seem to be.

I just got Blood Omen a few days ago and I'm lovin it.
One problem: I can't load my save games!

I can save them no problem, and when I'm on the save game menu screen it shows that the games are there, but when I go to load them, they aren't there. There are two games that I can load, but all the others don't sem to be recognized.

I have windows XP, and I'm playing the game without any other 3rd party software.

Can anyone help me?

try using the unofficial BO patches which allow the game to run properly on XP.
