Can someone help me Get T2 to work?

Hello,

I've been playing T2 FM's for years, but my 2 new computers keep crashing. I bought a HP laptop ZD7000 (P4 with HT & WinXP-SP2) only to run T3, but when I try to run T2 it crashes right when the mission begins. This happens even with T2X.
So I built another P4 (without Hyper Threading) computer using the Millennium OS (which has always worked before). But now right before the mission begins, the screen goes black and their is this windows "pling", when I press the escape button to read the "dump window" the game is completely shut down and so I can't read the error window. This also happens with T2X.
I know I need a driver or something, but what exactly. This is so annoying!
Any help would be much appreciated...

P.S. Nightwalker, I tried changing my e-mail address here at the forums, but havn't received my confirmation e-mail so I had to open a whole new account

We need the VIDEO card information.

Most often conflict with the Vcard is the reason for a Black screen.

You have ME2K? Have disabled Hyper in your P4, which is good but have not given enough detail on the rest of your setup.

If you are not sure (although you said you built the system) run the ADVISOR program from www.belarc.com for details on the rest of your system, and let us know what Vcard and Soundcard/system you are running.

I have the same problem with my desktop....it runs t3 great (70 fps) but thief and thief 2 will crash in missions almost right after it loads them.....tried no-cd's and that does nothing, installed the iv5play again, and still get the same crash...
