Lego Star Wars Major Problems

I bought my son Lego Star Wars and we have been unable to get it to run on our brand new (got it today) computer. I am posting the dxdiag file below. It has a NVIDIA GeForce 5200 graphics card and I updated the driver today. Works better, but about five minutes into the game the computer restarts. The error report says it's a graphic driver problem

I would really appreciate any help you can give me. I'm a Mac person and not really good with Windows but I have read this whole forum and don't see a problem exactly like mine. This is really frustrating!

Hey there, sorry to hear about your issue. The most common cause for a machine to simply `reboot` during 3d gaming is overheating of the system.

If you are able to take the side of the case off on the pc.

Lego is actually incredibly intensive on graphics and pushes the hardware to maximum capacity, so if your machine is in a warm location or hasn't got good airflow (fans on front and back etc) then this is very likely the cause.

Thanks for the help. I will try this. The tower only has one fan so that may be the problem.

The other issues we are having is that there are random lines in the graphics and the sound is not in sync with the characters. The sound board is a Realtek AC97 and I noticed that the driver is from 2004. I couldn't find an updated driver on their site. Does anyone know if there is a new driver and if it might help?

It's really frustrating that getting a video game to work is so hard!

Did you have any luck with the case off?

As for sound, have u tried lower the acceleration of the sound card within dxdiag?
