Hi i just got this game today and i did play the demo and i wanted this game so today i got it. Now here was me thinkin with a game copyin totalwar we would have a winner here but no we have a game that could have taken a bit more work on it and more thinking into it.
I dont think in real life 6 units of militia vs 5 units of line infantry and a 6 pounder would never be a close battle. I think its a step back from shogun ffs how they could have done this i dont know but never will i buy a game from these guys again. |

give them the opportunity to make it right before you say that... that said if they dont make it right .. i'm with ya. I invested my money hoping to support them in their efforts ... and if I don't end up with a game I like .. what he said
Now the game works fine .... It is only missing features I like.. the way industry has set us up to believe that a patch is always forth comming may not be the case here. They will be adding features not fixing things that are broken, so they don't have to do anything. There are a few minor bugs i'm sure but I played through once without any trouble... except...maybe leaders not promoting through battle exp. 20 fights no promotions but depends on how the tech advance promotions effected my leaders along the way... I couldn't tell.... for sure. It felt like Bonepart should have been promoted to marshall after 23 battles ... he started as a captain and was promoted to Col. through tech advance then General in a tech advance.. he was my point leader and never made marshall ....Would like come comment on this point. |

But, to their credit, the developers of Shogun promptly fixed that and other problems and started a long and successful franchise. It would have been short-sighted to have given up on them before they had that chance. All games have growing pains. IG, in my view, has fewer than most. The test will be whether the developers are committed to the future of the game. That remains to be seen. |

Another sad comparison to a TW game. I'll say it again:
They are different games, with different methods of play, with different goals. The only similiarity is the Turn-Based/Real-Time hybrid. I, for one, far prefer this to RTW, MTW, or STW. Don't get me wrong, those are good games, I just like this better as a matter of taste. |
