I'm getting a message pop up every time i try to load up Imperial Glory today. Saying,
" Warning! The license will expire in 3 days." I have no idea why this is doing this or how to fix it obviously ![]() Thank you, |

I don't have that error, did you get a pirated version or what? It may be the copy protection. But if its the same everytime you load up, I really don't know, but i'll try to help.

Yesterday it told me my licence expired in 3 days.
Today it told me it expires in 2 days. I guess tomorrow is the last day that I can play Imperial Glory. I think that the CD copy protection should be renamed CD PLAY protection. It protects against playing the game. I have no technical or other difficulties with the game, but the CD protection won't let me (an honest purchaser and supporter of the game) load it up. |

If I can't play the game on Wednesday due to my licence having expired then my copy goes back too.
Copy protection? Pfffft. I think it was John Carmack (ID software) who said that the best way to ensure good sales is to produce quality software. And he should know. As opposed to making it difficult for legitimate users to actually run the software by incorporating ever more aggressive copy protection. Edit: This problem may be quite widespread. I just finished speaking to a friend, who telephoned to ask if I was going to buy Imperial Glory. I said that I already had it. He said that he had been to PcWOrld and there were two customers in line returning it because they couldn't get it to run. A message about putting the correct CD in the drive kept coming up, preventing them playing the game. The guy behind the counter said that others had already been in returning their copies because of the same message..... Last edited by Huntley; 05-30-2005 at 05:10 AM. |

In the past cd copy portection drivers cuased problems with certain makes of CDROM. I think one make stoped working full stop. They tend bought in off the self rather than delveoped in house. I hope pyro are jumping up and down on there vendor as we speak.

You dont have to return enything, just keep changing back the date on you're pc everytime it says 1 day left, put 2 days back, keep doing that until they get a better fix up soon, i got the game aswell and i instaled it perfectly then when i tried to run it it said: No cd found or something like that....
