Game Rankings

A great site for games reviews. They only have one review posted so far as of 5/21/05.

The Admin for CSII Thread CDV_WarGamer (I beleive) had some interesting things to say that may be addressed if the proper attention is given.

I couldn't tell - is this site run by kids or something?

Default GamesRadar UK Review

First bad one I've seen...Gave IG a 74. Some good points though, although I feel some of them are a bit trivial.

Yeah, but he bashed it a good bit in the write up as well. Said it had great graphics but that the gameplay sucked on so many levels :P A lot of what he said was things which were his skill/lack of understanding instructions. Like complaining about how troops do stuff on their own when he could tick "Manual" and fix that.

I don't trust reviews on IG. Too many people try to compare it to RTW, when the two games deliver a definitely different experience. I'd be rather dissapointed if the developers caved into the loud minority and made it more RTW-ish.

1st of this is an accurate read of the game. Yes, he may have nick picked on an issue or 2 but he's on target on addressing a lot of issues about the game. He also made clear that a patch is in order, something that we all have been asking for from day 1. I don't think he's player hating the game. I think it's constructive and needs to be address by this company, bottom line.

Aye i tend to agree he isnt really bashing the game and he does have a point with most of his comments. In the end he really doesnt say anything new that wasnt mentioned on this forum before and basically says the game would be much better if it gets some after sales support from Pyro.

Lets hope that Eidos will let them support the game with multiple patches. Good thing is chances are low Pyro will drop the towel like Troika did after releasing Vampire:P

Especially considering the score given to RTW and STW. Don't ignore what the man says, though, as he makes good points and accurately reflects what a goodly portion of your customers feel.

It was a fair assessment. I found the game more enjoyable than the reviewer, but, I have not played it extensively due to time constraints. I think a majority of the problems can be fixed in a patch. And I think there would be a market for an add-on that would add many more features, improve the authenticity of the land and sea battles, and add the ability to play all the minor nations.

I think Gamespot said what some of us are saying .. this game has great possibilities...but in its current state is far below the bar set by RTW. However unfair you think that is ... No one can seriously not compare the games, I have both games and played both extensivly now. I think the first acessment is probably correct.. but I wish they made provision to give it a post patch number. I would hate to see the low number kill this game before it gets a chance to breath... assuming it is still being worked on.. ie patch?

At ign.com the reviewer gave Imperial Glory an official score of 8.5 on the 10.0 scale.
