Default Eidos accepts £71 million offer from Riccitiello's Elevation Partners

I really hope this is a good thing, if it's true.

It certainly looks legit, although I've not heard of this Elevation Partners. It seems to be a fairly new venture. Sounds like Eidos waited too long and was forced to accept a low bid, even though it was a premium on their stock. I guess the 'unnamed' bidder offering 53p a share just didn't do it for them. Well I'm glad this whole affair is over. Let's just hope this is a success and we see LOK6 soon (if at all).

Bono owns Eidos? How very.. well, I'm feeling a sense of vertigo.

Also, with an irishman at the helm, I'd wager the Red Raven Pub will have a much larger role in then next game.

I hope everybody still has their jobs waiting for them tomorrow (especially our friends at CD).

I don't know what to think now, just when you think it's done and over with, now http://www.gamesindustry.biz has a new headline saying SCI has made a bid of 76. I wish this would hurry up and end.
