im in the fire forge room. after lighting the torch i shifted into the spectal plane and when i came back the room was fillled with blood and the platforms were down. i cant get the blood to drain. what do i do?

in an efort to escape it i saved, quit and reloaded. now the room apears to dreained of the blood. but once i actually go into thelower chamber i see that this is not so. i swim about as if i have been submerged but there is nothing to be submerged in.

First off: PC or PS2?

if PS2, this is most likely a glitch,one that I've had happen to me.This seems to be the most problematic area of the game, as about 1 in every 3 times I play through I have a problem here.Another glitch was that while gliding with the torch on the air vents the entire room fills with blood,making it impossible to activate the forge.Your best bet is to save and quit untill the room is back to "starting" position.
