pixel shader 1.1?

ok so i installed Theif deadly shadows.but im assuming it wont work because i dont have pixel shader 1.1 on my video card. i have a brand new comp and everything is up to date as far as i know. is there anything to download to fix this problem. when i click "play theif" the screen goes black and then sais "flesh error" then to check video and sound cards or something like that.......does anyone have any suggestions besides buying a new video card?

Unfortunately pixel shader 1.1 is required to play Theif DS, which means you will need to upgrade your graphics card before you play the game.

To elucidate, pixel shader 1.1 is hardware, not software, so you can't download it. You need a better graphics card in the computer. Find out what it has now, as that will be a first step, but there are lots of threads here about recommended video cards, prices, pros and cons etc.
