How do you DROP items from your toolbelt/inventory? I have like 4 pistols and have no room for food! I am stuck until I figure this out! thanks!!!

Ummm, go into your inventory {"I" by default}, select the item you want to drop and click the "drop" button? The one next to "equip, use, change ammo".

DROP doesn't work - I pressed "I" as default as you said and it still doesn't work? From what I can see in the control mapping options, there isn't even a key that is supposed to be assigned for DROP items? Am I missing something? There was a patch I downloaded that did change things a bit... could this be one of the features they took out in the patch?? I am stuck with way too many items and can't even pick up food!!! HELP!! Thanks.

What happens when you try? If you get the "can't drop here" message, try moving to somewhere there is more space and repeat.

I have "drop" mapped to the backspace button, but I don't know if that is the default.

I always pressed F1 to bring the inventory up and used the mouse to drag and drop the items , either that or select your item and press alt-D


you are talking about the first game ?

I figured out what was wrong. When I bring up the inventory, a grey box appears on the bottom left side. When I select a weapon or inventory item, then press this button, it drops it. Wonder why there is no writing on this box? Nor is it mentioned in the manual? I know there was a patch that upgraded a lot of things in the game - perhaps this was one of them. Although, I did read through the patch details again and it doesn't list this as one of the upgrades. Anyways, I can play properly now and that's what important! (could have used "drop" long before now but hey, whatever!)

Thanks for coming to my rescue and trying to help me figure out what was wrong! That's why I love these forums, they are so helpful when nothing else is!!!
