Climbable walls with no textures on gets my vote. How are we supposed to know where they are!?
Just wondering what other people think, hopefully the info may be useful to someone too. If anyone has anything else I've missed, then say so... B/w, option 4 is a trap where you only have one chance, and if you miss the chance you're stuck wondering around- if you save, you have to start again because you missed the chance. I must say as an element of a game, it is a little frustrating not knowing which wall to climb (however, many would be doing this as a result of simply constructing levels) however, at the same time it is also irritating when climbable walls are too obvious; it is always going to be a matter of personal choice.
![]() Perhaps the most irritating for me, small rooms that contain an enemy that can only be killed by a weapon you do not have, when you specificaly need to do something intricate in the said room.

Well, actually everything you mentioned is bad, but I especially hate it when you have only one chance to finish a puzzle, pass a trap and most horribly if you can miss (you might not be supposed to miss the item, but you can. This is why I stopped playing Hidden Garden series, btw) an important item and can't backtrack to get it (I hate backtracking too, but at least it's better than if you can't do it at all, and this is very problematic for me as I usually don't have a spare savegame)

I know most of you won't agree, but the 2 things that irritate me the most are
1) Fixed cameras 2) Flyby's that you can't break out of Of course, a level that is just too hard is pretty irritating, too, as is the one-chance trap/puzzle. |

Wallpapered walls.... eughh.... I try to spice up my walls usually, and make them smaller and more detailed to prevent wallpaper.

Hi Dan,
what about the 18 squares limit? If you have more than 18 squares? Maybe you could at this to the poll. However, my vote gets climbable walls without textures. I would like to vote also for the one shot traps, but unfortunately you can give only 1 vote

![]() And about the horizon bug (the 18 square limit), I never blame the level designer for this, since this is a Core/Eidos bug, and the designer can't do anything about it, if some area's of his/her level are bigger than the LE limits allow

I feel I must point out that the 18 square limit is not a bug, it is merely a limit set by the Tomb Raider 3D Engine.

If only the 18 square limit just faded into darkness instead of showing the horizon... it would look much better I think, except in bright areas...

Levels which are too dark are the biggest pain for me - not being able to find a switch, an object or a door opening, not because they are cleverly concealed, but because it is too dark!! I don't mean a room with a shaddowy corner, where you know to use a flare but the whole level in darkness. And there are never enough flares in these levels.

I dislike those tricky rope jumps where you have to grab a ledge right after letting go of the rope. I have yet to complete London Home because of that last rope jump in her gym :-/

Those "butts" are actually a rather disturbing substitute for items missing in the wad, so if you take an object out of the wad without updating the TOM for that wad, then you'll get "butts" wherever that object appears, and they will copy the same movements as the original object
