You are not perchance actually going into crouch mode which makes you move more slowly? Check your key bindings in the Input section of the options screen. Also check what key is used to shift move forward speed (I thought it was a combo key that had to be pressed with another movement key but maybe it is a toggle key).

No im sure its not something to do with the control buttons as i hav checked all the inputs and i hav pressed them all in the game and im possitve that it is completely random wen he starts running normaly as i am not pressing anything. Is there some kind of auto creap button that i do not know about. Im not the only person who has had this problem as i found another person with the same problem but the replies were no help as they kept saying check ur joystick. Please help

I did see in another post about someone complaining that they couldn't stand still that they didn't have any USB mice, game controllers, or joysticks plugged in but the solution was to go into Device Manager and disable the drivers for those devices (they may not be plugged in but you might have drivers getting loaded for them).
An uninstall and reinstall of the game didn't help, either? |

USB devices such as Gamepads or Joysticks should be removed, but USB mice should be ok. Movement problems have been confirmed when such devices are plugged in.

I use to always get stuck in crouch and the only way I could get out of it was to jump a couple of times. I then reinstalled my OS and updated all my drivers and the problem dissappeared. After I installed SP2 new problems showed up. I'm not saying that you have a outdated configuation or outdated drivers. What I am saying is that this game can be sticky to install and have it run correctly. I have also found Xp with SP1 and SP2 can cause problems not only with games but other applications as well. After installing SP2 I had serious problems with at least two of my games. I now use one computer for internet use and the other for just games. The last game I had problems running was Halo, a new graphics card fixed that problem. Now its T3, but since I nolonger use my computer for multi purposses T3 runs more smoothly and with less aggrivation.
