Default CD not recognised - and other installation problems

Hi to all !

Just yesterday I bought the game: one DVD ROM CD (not two as I read in several posts).

Now my CD/DVD/RW does not recognise the CD (please insert a CD) and so I tried the install via a local network from a PC under W98SE (my is W2K). Fine, done. Wanted to start the game and again problems with the CD: please insert the original CD and not a backup CD.

OK, I thought to patch the game hopeing that this would sort out the problem. Patching didn't work: File does not match......

Well, I just hope someone can help me here or I have to return the game (to bad because I loved DEUSEX).

Any idea?

Cheers Euclid

If you have the DVD, you must not install the patch. At this point you need to uninstall the game and reinstall.

You may also need to use the SecuRom fix (see the sticky thread at the top of the forum), and if you have any disk emulation software running, disable it.
