Default wordplays

Hi,
in level 1 when Kain first meets Moebius he says after Moebius' teasing 'quit the wordplays' or something. I've got the German version and can't detect any wordplays at all. Does somebody know what wordplay Moebius makes in the original version?

Not sure I get your point... Well, here's the original dialogue anyway:

(After an arduous search of the stronghold, Kain discovers Moebius within a subterranean cavern. He appears to be conversing with the Elder God, through a cistern burrowed in the ground.)

MOEBIUS:
-- Yes....I understand....it will be done....the stage is set.
(Aware of Kain's approach.)
You needn't linger in the shadows, Kain. It has been a long time, hasn't it?

KAIN:
No banter, Moebius. You know why I'm here.

MOEBIUS:
Yes.... Raziel. You sought to introduce your own pawn into this game, and now he's been swept from the board.

KAIN:
By your hand, I suspect. Where is he?

MOEBIUS:
Perhaps you should ask 'when'? (Sneering) How humiliating it must be for you to come begging at my doorstep for answers.

KAIN:
Enough wordplay.
(Kain advances toward Moebius, the Soul Reaver in his hand.)

MOEBIUS:
Don't threaten me, Kain --

(Moebius activates his staff, and Kain crumples to the ground in agony, the Soul Reaver falls, inches away from his grasp.)

MOEBIUS:
You see, I have the upper hand. How remarkable, that the great Kain should succumb to the scepter's power like any common vampire.

(Moebius kneels beside Kain's prostate form.)

MOEBIUS:
Still so arrogant after all these years, thinking you've derived some brilliant plan. You know nothing. You have read the signs, but misread their meaning. You believe you are that myth of Vampire prophecy, the Scion of Balance, and that Raziel holds the key to fulfilling your destiny. But your messianic delusions have blinded you to Raziel's true nature. You have no idea what you've unleashed. There was a time when you might have heeded wise counsel when it was offered. Now, your vanity has made you witless. You will have to learn the truth for yourself.

(Moebius pushes the reaver towards Kain with the heel of his boot)

MOEBIUS:
You'll be needing this. Your strength will return after I have departed. But by then, you will have more urgent concerns than pursuing me. Perhaps, when we next meet, you will have learned a little humility.

This passage I meant. In German Moebius says, translated back: 'How humiliating it must be for you to come up to me asking for answers'. In this version there isn't any wordplay, but Kain says 'enough wordplay' nevertheless and that irritated me a bit.
Anyway, thank you for the passage of the text.

I think that was the wordplay: "Perhaps you should ask 'when'?"
And you have this sentence also in German, Ivan. Are you, the Ivan from the German Eidos-Forum?

by saying, "enough wordplay", he simply means, enough talking.

It's dubbed but you can also switch to the English subtitles.
You're sure that's only an English phrase? In that case I wonder why Eidos doesn't fire this loosy translator...

Oh, I'm so sorry! Somebody could be seriously insulted by this six foreign words...I don't know if anybody is interrested in the translation anyway, but for all I care, here you are:
'Überaschung! Und wer bist du auf Deutsch?'
'Surprise! And who are you in German?'

@Nixname alias dark child: Is here anybody else from the German eidos forum straying around?
