Once getting all the icons and whatnot , I can't seem to get outta the mage keep to go to the trickesters retreat. The barracaded door is the only way I see and none of the keys I have fit it. How do I get to the magic mover?

You've just missed a stairway that takes you down to the other side of that barricaded door. It's in the "Air" section.
