Personally I loved the ending. I was all jumpy when I saw it! And I excpect a sequel, but I doubt it won't be as good as this without Garrett .

And for you who haven't played Thief I and completed Thief III... Play Thief I .

yeah what was up with that? he's a keeper now? That didn't make sense. I like the ending too but how is it that garret is a keeper now? I thought all the glyphs went away and the books were whiped clean? Is he the sole keeper? Is he starting over the order of the keepers???

Ending left me with more questions than answers.... and if there is another sequel, it had better be garret, I don't wanna play some sticky-fingered little kid.

My interpretation:
In one of the loading screens, it seems to indicate that Garrett becomes the one true Keeper (that the First Keeper was simply holding the place for).

Also, in the intro movie for the tutorial mission of Thief 1, Garrett tries to steal from a Keeper, gets caught, and is introduced into the Keeper society (the tutorial mission of Thief 1 is his Keeper training). The last shot of the ending movie of Thief 3 is exactly the same, except this time Garrett is doing the catching. A new apprentice for Garrett...

ah... I only played thief2. that'd explain why I didn't get the reference then... still, any thief game HAS to be centered around Garrett or it just wouldn't be thief.
