The Demo!

Alrighty i got the demo! The games not released in england yet so i tohught i'd give it a shot before i pre ordered it to make sure it ran okay and such!
However, i've installed it and load the .exe and get nothing, squat, teh mouse disapears and i get an error sound, the error appears to be invisible hwoever along with the cursor, so the only way out of it is to press enter! That's the extent of my experience, 500MB for an invisible error!

So what can i do to fix this? Not sure how computer specs work but i'll give it a shot, i HAVE got Directx9.0B

AMD Athlon XP 2000+
1.70Ghz
512Mb Ram

Is that the right info? Anyway, i CAN run UT2004 on full details and i believe the engine is the same so i'ma bit confused! Any help would be apreciated!

which video card do ya have?Is it a Nvidia?Or an ati?
Try getting the drivers for these the latest one for nvidia is 56.72
its on www.nvidia.com.If UT2004 is running well t3 gotta play.I havent tried UT 2004 so not sure.The system looks fine so it is some thing that ya gotta do.If its any of the MX class video cards then go get a new video card.The nvidia geforce FX series is good and so is the ATI 9600 xt and above for this type of game.But check whats the video card and post lets see if we can help u out here.After all a thief for a thief.

I believe it's NVIDIA Geforce MX 440 with AGP8x!

As chance has it i do actually have a new graphics card in the post with my 5.1 surround kit so maybe if these new drivers don't work that will! I'm downloading them now though just in case! Thanks for the help!

NVIDIA Geforce 4 MX 440 does not work with the game as it requires at least Pixel Shader 1.1 which this card cannot :/

Ah i see! i must admit i did expect it would be a pixel shading probelm, i have had that with some other games! Annoying, that card is quite nice otherwise!

Anyway my new card is a Geforce 5600 FX NVidea thinggy i believe that'll do it!
