Gun Experiments
After trying the zip line idea, which worked a treat, from another thread I decided that since I like the black gun I'd have a go at getting Lara to use it. Adding the TR3 gun to the crossbow slot and changing crosbow anim for mp5 anim resulted in lara holding the gun and firing lots of bullets, admitedly with the crossbow sound but it aimed and it killed the test croc. Snags ----- after the ammo ran out lara was stuck holding the mp5 and refused to let it go, also the anim was a bit shakey. Good start though but needed work. So ....... went to TR5 and added the HK anim to the crossbow slot and the HK gun to the crosbow slot. This had the same probs as TR3 version but no sound at all as well........ So a disaster all round. Can this be done or am I not going to be able to do this?

yeah tis a bit of a pain isn't it? I'm running some experiments of my own lol... for example, I'm taking the revolver mesh and editing it in Meta to look like the desert eagle, repainting the textures and importing it all back into strpix, that's the easy part.... it's editing the firing sounds that go with it, I wonder if replacing the revolver sound sample with the desert eagle sound sample would work? Luckily the animations match
I can't run the animation editor on my pc anyway, so this is the only way forward for me.

Replacing the revolver sound with the deser eagle sound is no good because it's the same anyway!
When i put the MP5_ANIMATION Object from TR3 in the shotgun_animation slot it works very well! |

One problem with that though. It is far to over powered...its basically firing the shotgun at rapid speed lol

Thats the problem!
Unfortunately you canot change this unless youedit the exe fie which is strctliy permittet!!!!!

You could do it, but limit the ammount of ammo you find in the level...hey it may actually be like a real gun lol. 3 shots and there down. To bad we cant do that for all the guns...
