How to Throw and Drop Objects

I've seen a lot of threads where people say something about how they can't throw objects...

Left Mouse Button throws it.
Right Mouse Button drops it.

Wonder if there any surprises related to opening a chests and finding a large hammer in your hans that will make a loud CLUNK on the floor when dropped in this game like in the first and 2nd....
