Official statement from Eidos RE::Black Screen Boot Up

I emailed Eidos support and this is what they replied with:


"Thank you for your message. This problem seems to be caused by your
Radeon video card itself. It has something to do with the video driver not
rendering the game correctly. Due to the game’s recent release, we are
still gathering info and problems reported by users. IO Interactive is
aware of the problem, and is currently working on a patch. One thing
you could try, is uninstalling and reinstalling your video driver if you
have not already. Try downloading the Catalyst version 4.3 from
www.ATI.com and install it per the instructions on their website. I do
apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience."
