Fatal Error and Game Freezes

PS2: I am currently completing the Hall of Seasons levels, and have finished all levels, but the Sanctuary of the Flame. For some reason, I cannot access this level. When I try to enter through the door to the level, the screen freezes, and I get two lines running up and down the screen: a red line saying: "Fatal Error" and a blue line saying: "Error - RMx version mismatch". How can I fix this? And if it's unfixable, is there maybe a cheatcode I could use to just skip this level? Please, please help. I must continue to play... can't give up now!

just had same problem. sort advice from were i got the game and found out its because disc is scratched or dirty try cleaning it, it worked for me
