Default Avault on Hitman : Contracts.

Avault has a cool hands on/preview.
I'm kinda worried about two things, just alittle.

1: 5 Level remakes from Hitman 1, traditions of the trade and entire lee hong assasination (so i guess they remake the wang fou restaurant too, etc...) I don't know whether to like or dislike this, i find it rather unnessecary to remake 5 levels,, and reading from the preview, the levels are hardly changed.(the remakes that is)

2: By reading the preview they say the missions in the game don't really take too long to complete, that's just something i rather not hear..i rather have big missions like traditions of the trade than simple short ones...

but anyway..it's cool to read, and maybe i'm worrying about nothing big.

damn only 7 new levels? oh well, they'll be the best ones yet, and im glad they remade the levels because the people that never had hitman:47 should be able to experience traditions of the trade

Well, i gotta say...people that want Traditions of the trade and the other levels of briliance from Hitman 1, i suggest they pick up Hitman:codename 47. I had rather have 12 totally new levels instead of remakes...at first i thought it was cool, remakes of some levels but i thought it would be around 1 or two levels but five? c'mon. Rather unnessecary if you ask me.....

I heard awhile ago something about there being 12 missions in the game, and 5 hidden ones that you can unlock... I'll try to remember where I heard it.

AND I WANT A LEVEL EDITOR!!!

I thought I remembered hearing there was a couple old missions you could unlock to play aswell. It was in one of the previews but I dont remember which one mentioned this but I think it was a recent one.

If these missions are simply unlockable, then it's all right. If they're part of the actual game, though, then Hitman Contracts is officially screwed.

Only 12 levels?

That seems way to few, especialy with the large enough gap between 2 and 3. Didn't Silent Assassin have around 20 levels?

And also, so many people wanted the good missions in H1 back in Contract, They asked so IoI gave it to them, now again why is everyone complanig?

I don't get you people

hey guys... you dont know how long it take to complete the missions, but even if it doesn't too long, I prefer a quick cool mission ( that level where you have to kill the brother of the hacker on hitman 2 ) instead of a long boring one ( all japan mission except that one w/ Hayamoto jr. )

It would be better if only a couple missions were ones weve already played in H1 and thent he rest just be unlockable. I want some new missions that were as good as the ones in H1 but i dont want half the new game to be something Ive already played. Although ive heard conflicting stories on the old levels. Ive heard they were alittle different then what we would remember them as and Ive also heard that it was almost exactly the same as H1 except of course the updated engine. Although supposedly this game is supposed to make us understand 47 better so there must be something different in the missions.

I'd like that, since it would bring an incentive towards the fibre-wire and anaesthetics.

^ yep, definitely.

I don't mind that the game has 12 levels, C47 had 12 too and i was FINE with it, never did i think like "Hey, this game's too short" but the fact that actually FIVE levels from C47 will be remaked in Contracts, leaving only 7 new ones. Also
i read in a preview, don't remember which one anymore (too much lately)but they said the remakes didn't look much different at all ,...i mean..i've played traditions of the trade to death, and so is the case with Lee Hong assasination....if they'd just left at at those two missions , fine...but the entire lee hong level-set..from the very first sniper mission to killing lee hong.

incentive to the fiber wire ? maybe ... anesthetic ? no way for me ... the anesthetic in hitman 2 REALLY .. I MEAN REALLY SUC*ED !!!

a few drops of anesthetic would be enought to knock out a human for about 3 or 4 hours, but in hitman 2 you use so much anesthetic that I think it would be enought to knock out a horse till next week. I mean you empty a whole bottle of anesthetic on a mailman and the guy wakes up about 15 minutes later , running around on his underwear.

Maybe they should just provide a small vial of chloroform that provides drop by drop, as you said.
But anaesthetics don't even leave a throat mark. Oh, and the person subjected to wakes up later.

I believe that at least 3/4 of the Lee Hong missions were combined into one huge level, because the Rotterdam, Gallard hotel, and asylum levels are back. That's 4 levels....so the fifth may be an extra Chinese or Drug Lord level? ...but I read an interview in a mag. where a dev. stated every location, China for instance, is only one level...so 5 may mean all of C47's campaigns are back. Plus, the new levels are suppose to be massive. I read in one review that its quite easy to get lost in the slaughterhouse. ...7 HUGE levels wouldn't be a bad thing.... So maybe there is no need to worry?

so many people are hooked on the # of levels cuz they wanna play forever.. well.. its not all about playing folks its about exploration.. usually after finishing a level i go back and try to find alternative ways.. easter eggs.. etc. even after 4 years i still have hitman 47 installed on my comp.. .. wlel.. i reinstalled it cuz i got a couple of new comps.. but yeah.

The way I see it:

You have roughly 10 official "hits" where you make money from offing the marks. The first and last missions don't count as "hits;" you're running from the asylum in one, and running from the french counter-terrorists in the other. If you make more money from the hits than you did in H:C47 (10 Gs was the minimum - mission 1), then you'd be WELL off by the end of the game.

Even though there is only 12 missions, each mission has more ways of executing a contract then in Hitman: Codename 47 and Hitman 2: Silent Assassins.

The replay value should be fairly high.

I have also read in a certain interview with a developer that there are some "disturbing" images that are in there. Those images are not forced upon the player to view. I take it with exploration ... you will be able to see certain "images"

It should be fine...

Yes, and various targets (there will be several on the same map. Maybe not for every map, but...) have various tasks/missions that they carry out during the playing.
