I had a similar problem with the opening video. I had just loaded up a new GF FX 5600 Ultra card on a Via KT400 chipset MB running an Athlon XP 2000+. The opening video starts, and when it sez Chicago 5:15 A.M. Guess what, it's 5:15 A.M. Peeps have been metioning Chicago to me right and left for a couple of weeks. HAHAHA. Where's my biomods, I'm ready to rock!
Problem is, Q, the video audio is so choppy that I can't figure out the content. The video is a little stop and start, but plays through semi-ok. So I figured it was my onboard sound chipset. I hear those often cause grief for devs. This thingy is called the Avance '97. It's supposed to run 5.1 audio on fiber hook-up, so I reckoned it was fairly advanced for an onboard chipset when I bought it... But then again, the video was kinda choppy, too. I also tried the update. Version 1.1 made no advance on that front. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 2/7/2004, 04:37:57 Machine name: IWILL Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 1 (2600.xpsp2.030422-1633) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: VIA Technologies, Inc.
