Unhappy Gamepad problems, Anyone care to Help?

I play the game using a Dual anolong gamepad, and have found something that just makes the game annoying. When I Press the stick into a Diagonal direction, Kain/Raziel walk or creep only. I had a look at the properties for the device, and found that when calibrated, it's impossible for my stick to go to the very end of the corner.

Here's a Pic of the Properties. The one on the left is in it's stationary position, While the one on the right is with me pushing the stick into a corner. As you can see, it doesn't reach the very end.

Please, Help a fool out of his troubles.

Hey there Vampiric Fool,
Looks like from those pics that you are on the test page. Click on the calibrate page and try to re-calibrate the gamepad. They should ask you to move the stick in a circle and hopefully will help.
If you have already tried this, sorry.

Vampiric Fool,

From the fact that your pad has dual sticks, I will assume it is a digital pad that probably connects through a USB port.

If that is so, you have not install specific drivers for the gamepad. Your properties screen would indicate that Windows is using generic HID (Human Interface Device) drivers. Go to the website of the pad's manufacturer and download drivers specific to your pad. Install them and the problem should go away.

Also device specific drivers are required for rumble/force feedback if your pad supports them, as the HID drivers have no force feedback specifications built in.

Correct, It uses the HID drivers, simply because it has to. Here's a quote from the site.
Quote:
No drivers are required for this device

This device is fully compliant with the "Human Interface Device" specifications.

We have developed the device in such a way that it will be recognize under the Microsoft Operating systems (Windows 98 series, Me, 2000 and Windows XP) as an "HID compliant Game Device".

By simply connecting your Thrustmaster game controllers to the computer’s USB port, it will become available in Windows Game Controller / Gaming Option.

The drivers provided by Microsoft will ensure you a perfect compatibility with any games using DirectX technology (100% of today's games!).

Edit: Thought of a better Idea. Purchased one of those USB-PS2 Controller Thingys off of Ebay. About time I replaced this $15 AUD controller.

I cannot believe there is no software of any kind. Generic HID drivers don't support many features such as switching the D-pad between hatstick and x/y axis modes. Software designed just for the pad would be required. I find it unlikely such a feature is not included with a thrustmaster product.

I went to the website and found profiling software under the "Software" submenu. Often times that includes a specific control panel for the pad even if it uses HID drivers.

My Hammerhead FX is like that. Without any software it will operate as a generic HID device. Once the profiling software is installed, the options panel changes and gives options specific to the model.

I'm using a PS2 pad, but am having enormous problems during the first Raziel chapter.

Everytime the Elder God destroys a piece of scenery, Raziel just keeps doing whatever he was doing before the cutscene started.

I've noticed that using the keyboard does not cause this problem, but that the section is then extremely hard to navigate at all.

Is anyone else having 'hanging movement' problems, where the character just keeps moving during the small cutscenes, and thus walks off a ledge, making you have to totally restart the section again? I've tried this bit about 20 times, and i'm getting rather tired of it

[Edit]
Okay, got past that bit, but I'm finding the 'bug' also happens when I use the jump-slash. For about a second after that Raziel just walks in the direction he was going befor ethe jump, or in case there wasn't one, het just stands around looking silly.

[Edit 2]
Contacted a friend who also has the game and also uses a PS2 gamepad. He says he doesn't have the problem. I might just install the game on my desktop PC instead of my laptop, maybe it'll work there...
