the pillares protection?

hi again, sorry for that many threads but i have problem,the pillars of nosgoth created by early vampires to banish there enemys the hylden,then the hylden cursed them.how choud the curse effect them from another dimension?did,nt the pillars give them a sort of protection?and before the pillars? who held the balance in nosgoth?

Another member and I have speculated in the past that there is a good chance the Pillars didn't banish all of the Hylden at the same time. (Meaning the race was banished in spurts). If this is/was the case, then that would imply that those who were not immediately banished were able to inflict the Ancient vampires with the blood curse.
