Question Leo at Liberty (possible spoilers)

I was going the renegade finish and had Leo helping me take care of the Brothers Denton and as soon as we finished them off, Leo turns on me and I had to get medieval on his encounter-suited butt. I thought it might have been because I may have hit him with a stray frag or two as he was in my line of fire (you dont think I was going to take point...)

so I reload the save game just prior to the aquinas router to play out the Denton ending and have Leo help me wipe out some Illuminati commandos and he does it again...this time he is not in my lin of fire.

So why does Leo turn on me?

Just a guess here...and maybe I'm reading too much into Leo...

(may contain SPOILERS)

But from the very first time you meet him jogging 'round the gym in Seattle, it's quite obvious he's self-centered and superbly egotistical. I think he even refers to himself in the third person a couple times ("You've never heard of Leo Jankowski?").

When you come across him in Cairo and he's helping the Omar, he's only really interested in your information; yeah, sure, he pays you for it, but you can tell he's just trying to keep the info flowing.

At that end - and I haven't gotten there yet - my guess would be that once the 2 of you have offed the Dentons, he sees *HIS* chance to rule the world, and you stand in his way. Therefore, he must kill you.

Default Interesting

I had Leo help me with the Illuminati as well, but he never turned on me. Sparks turned on me in the Mako level, but it was because she crossed my line of fire and got hit by a stray bullet. When I replayed it she was fine. The only thing I can think of is, and this is unlikely, if you're letting Leo do all the work he's getting ticked. On Liberty he ran in blasting while I sat back and picked the majority of them off with the sniper rifle. I did the Lion's share of the work yet every time I got near him he would say "What's a matter, are ya chiken?" I wanted to shove that gas mask he's wearin' up his nose, but I'm a nice guy.

It could possibly be related to how you treated him in earlier levels.

I guess maybe I need to check my aim cause I treated the poor chump well during the story...I gave him the tip on the assault...I gave him cash for his escape. I must have just shot him in his enormous ego 1 too many times.
