Did anybody else think Raziel had the better story part of the game. I mean he got to talk to everybody, Vorador, Mortanius, Turel, Ariel, Janos. He got back stories on everybody. While Kain did not. Kain didn't even know the Elder God until the very end. He is in the dark about everything. I figure because what happens to Raziel in the end might be the cause of this, maybe CD wanted to give fans more time with him.
This leads me to believe that in the next game Kain could somehow comunicate with Raziel somehow. I just think Kain needs some of the knowledge Raziel has. Is he aware of Turel, Does he know Vorador made the Reaver, Does he know why the vampires fought the Hylden, why they commited suicide, what the meaning of the blood curse did to them? Or does he already know these things? Did the Chronplast tell some of these things? I think Defiance was an awesome game. It is my favorite in the series. I can't stop playing it. It answered so many questions, but it also made a lot of new ones. I know everyone still wants to know how Vorador is alive in BO2, I want to know how Kain was jumping around through time in SR2. |

Yeah, wouldn't it be a strange twist if "the clueless one" turned out to be the guy with all the answers..........

I agree that Kain should communicate with Raz in the next game. and perhaps Raz has yet another transformation to occur, as well as Kain.

In my opinion, Raz had mor talk in the game since Kain had the best fights in it. Kain doesn't need to know anything from Raz since he had talked with most of the important characters (Janos, Vorador, etc) The only thing that maybe he could doubt could be the famous Wheel of Fate

Also, this game is defined as 'action/adventure'. I believe that they divided it up, Raz was the adventure portion (with story) and Kain was more the action section (with lots of fighting). That could also be a reason why they gave Raz more story. |

Who says Kain doesn't know? He saw alot of the same things Raziel saw. Raz pieced alot together from the murals, all of which Kain saw as well. The developers may have just decided to not devoute any in game dialogue rehashing what we already know.
I always felt Kain knew about the same as Raziel. Maybe not all the same detials but enough to control his own fate and to attempt to control Raziels. |

I don't think Raziel's making it into the next game except in name only ( hurts to say, but it's for the best since he had the best ending and did his part).
Raziel didn't know more than Kain, they each knew something the other didn't. The only thing Raziel knew about the Hylden until halfway through the game was the one mention of them by Kain at the end of SR2 and the murals depicting and 'unknown foe'. And Kain didn't know anything about the Elder. Had the just had the time to sit and talk with eachother without plotting and arguing, they might have been able to put the whole story together before Raziel sacrifieced himself. So together they made a whole team. And now they're together to take care of the last baddies. Raziel02

Kain knows everything since the first time entered the Chronoplast. Remember his plan for "edge of coin" ?? He knows what follows and how to change it(actualy he provoked paradoxes in SR2 by manipulating Raz). So he didn't need explanation of murals or sth. else. Raziel need it and we need it too

I still think that Raziel might be in the next game. or at least I hope so. But I'm guessing he will exist in his Second form. As a Vampire resurected by Kain. i think htat this might be possible because at the end of defiance kain has damned the pillars and made the seat of his empire upon them. which meansthat he has yet to resurect all of his liutendants. this could still work , so long as there isnt any time travel doesnt screw everything up.
Just a theory though -§ |

I think it'd be really cool if the next Blood Omen was during the time of Kain's Reign, but instead of being him, why not be the other lietenants during the whole conquering of Nosgoth, maybe even fight Hilden here and there, so on and so forth, and ultimately cross paths with the Kain and Raziel we are more acquainted with, develope more paradoxes......be a nice twist.

If the Reaver talks to Kain, I don't know what I'll do. It'll be both hilarious and totally totally improper.
Can you imagine it? (Kain)What do I do now? (Reaver)You must find Vorador! (Kain)WTF?! |

hmmm... is it only me or are the soul reaver games better than the blood omen games?! i dunno i just find Raziel to be a more interesting character, sure Kain's a pretty deep character as well but i just don't connect with him as i did with Raziel. I guess it's because Raziels more righteous, noble and has a higher sense of morality.
