Question Is it really that bad???

Is commandos 3 really that bad? I mean Iwe heard allot of bad things about it since the demo came out and then the full game.
I still havent bought the game and it has been out for allmost 2.5 weeks here in Finland...
I gues that you guys here frightend me with the bugs, game crashing, no hotkeys, bad grapics and so on. So i dont really know if i wanna spend 50€ on it...

Cool

It isn't that bad. It's a good game, though I found the previous versions better. The lack of hotkeys isn't really something to worry about, the game is perfectly playable without them. It might be annoying in multiplayer but... The graphics are absolutely not bad, they are the most detailed ever in a Commandos game. As for the bugs I think you'll need a bit of luck, there are people who have been encountering lots of bugs (---> Twitch), though I myself haven't encountered any aside from the crashing/freezing. Gameplay wise I find the game too short & too easy. Also I found it annoying to have timed missions, or missions where you had no other choice than shooting your way through the level. Aside of these things the game is in my opinion great (just as the music!).

Though in the end it's your decission

Default Overall a good game

If you compare it only to previous Commandos games, then yes it really is that bad. Actually, that's not completely true, but it's no C2. But then again, C2 was one of the best games ever IMO.

I'm not sure that I agree with @m about the graphics being the most detailed ever in a Commandos game, but still, they are pretty good, 800 x 600 notwithstanding.

My major gripe is the timed missions. This makes thoughtful stealthy tactics relatively impossible in, what, 25% of the missions? The remainder of the missions are classic commandos, albeit shorter. Which brings me to my other major gripe:

It's a short game: fewer missions, shorter missions and smaller maps than previous episodes. But then again, Max Payne was a relatively short game, and it was excellent.

For me, for some reason, bugs haven't been a major problem at all.

The lack of hotkeys is a pain, but, for the most part, you can easily work around it.

Is it worth 50+ Euros? I'm not sure that any game is worth that.

If you have any interest in playing the game, then I recommend you wait until you find a good discount price on it. It is definately not worth the full price. The way I see it, Pyro didn't give us a full Commandos game with this one, so players shouldn't be expected to pay a full price.

I think that you should buy commandos 3 before you buy any other game for PC. Commandos 3 is the best game of this year, though I don't play much computer games that is my opinion.

I never encountered bugs, I think it has something to do with your pc. some pcs run games better than others. I almost never have problem with games with my PC. The computer never crashes. I am really lucky with it
