Default More Deus Ex Type Games.....?

Hi everyone, well i was just reading another message and they were talking about Deus Ex 3 and 4 and 5 so on and so on.... well you know Deux Ex 3,4,5 etc. would be good but like some guy said... sequels are getting more ... dull when they go past 3 or even the third one is kinda dull. It seems they start making these sequels not for the same reason they made the first one. The first one im hoping they made because they wanted a real good game out there that people would enjoy... and when companies start making sequels the story line and allll the characteristics the first game had simply just go away and it seems like they are just trying to make a queick buck from the game rather than keeping the quality of the game at a high level ie the first one.... so to all those companies creating these awsome (first) games ... in my opinion they should stick with the first game and make it longer ... and there should be no sequal.. i think the first DX was a bit to short for my taste. I would love to sit at the computer for hours and days and months to finish one game... maybe thats just me... and maybe this is premature but i hope not... i hope DX2 is just as good if not better than the first. And if they do plan on making a DX3 which i would like to c .. i hope they also make it as good if not better than the first 2 ... and btw i hope Eidos or whoever makes these games come out with more games similar to Deus EX... i love the way they combined a first person shooter with an RPG.. i love the elements DX has ... makes it much more fun.. all the conspiracies .. and other things like that... the sneaky play... the thinking involved.. i just love it.. and i hope more and more companies pump out with these games every year or every 6 months... And also i just started to play computer games.. and i find the graphics are much ebtter than console games ie XboX PS2 etc... i was wondering if anyone out there has ne one similar games such as Deux Ex that i could try out. And i know this may offend some people on a Deux Ex forum.. but ya'll shoud check out the new Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic game that's soon to drop November 18th i believe is the date. www.swkotor.com. Ok well that's all i have to say ..

"Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful. This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government."

Look no farther than a couple other Warren Spector games.

System Shock 2: The game that Deus Ex evolved from. It has it's own set of rabid supporters, many who claim it "pound for pound" a superior game to DX. Has the same skill building, stealth, gun play, sci-fi, and strong story aspects of Deus Ex plus a flawless, and unmatched, survival horror element that has not been equalled by any game to this date.

Thief: A first person game totally revolving around stealth. First game ever to use the light and sound awareness to this extent. It is now ripped and used in just about every modern game that involves "stealth" gameplay.

hmm, system shock 2. What is the first part about? Is it worth playing. Or is part 2 a totally different story, so u don't need to play part 1 first?

the first one had the same basic plot, just a different setting. defintly worth playing, but be warned, its an old game, and the graphics show it. it is also near impossible to get it to run on any computer that isn't 10yrs old. and yes, you can play 2 without 1.

The hardcore fans are adamant 1 is better than 2, but I enjoyed 2 more. You don't need to have played 1 to play 2, but there is a returning character that you'll pick up on if you played the first.

Its a great game though, get it... An equal of Deus Ex.

As for Deus Ex type games, theres not a lot really. If you want a game with a great story, but completely different gameplay, theres Planescape : Torment, an RPG by Black Isle Studios.

Thief and Thief 2 are also both great games.

SS2 is my second favorite game, right behind DX1. Unfortunately, I played SS2 a few times before I was even able to find a copy of SS1 so by the time I got to play it, I just couldn't take the graphics or get used to the controls. For some reason, I never was able to really get into Thief. Strange, as it seems like it should have been right up my alley. Still, I can see that it is a great game, and you just can't go wrong with SS2.

Well, Though normal game`s get dull I`mpretty sure I heard that DX:3 will almost be a new game. Same basic deus ex goodness that you love only with new people, places, weapon`s, ect.

I`M NOT SURE THOUGH!!!

If you want a good RPG you could try Gothic2. It doesnt give you as much choice as Morrowind but it is far more interesting. A good compromise between freedom and decent plot. It needs a powerful PC though.

PS. What part did Warren Spector have in System Shock 2?
