Europe to Eidos: I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED, SIR.

I am very angry with you, Eidos. For months, I have avoided asking, commenting, flaming or PMing anyone regarding the Europian release date. But now, it would seem that you don't give a jack about the European fan-base you have. You make us wait another month, another goddamned month, to play this game. I mean, you could've at least released the English version in Europe, so that at least some people could enjoy the game ( I'm not a native "English-speaker", btw. ) but nooooooo, you just have to release it in all languages on all platforms and make us wait another freaking month!!!.

I have to agree. I am not a native english speaker, but I understand English a lot better than French or German. Believe me, most Frenchs and Germans actually know English to varying degrees. Simply releasing a PAL version in English would save a lot of time, and I do not think the sales would suffer horribly.

Exactly. The UK is a majority English speaking country. You need English to survive here. So why the multi language version? I realise that there are plenty of non british people here who would like the European version, but it is a lot more easy to get things from other parts of Europe than it is getting it from the USA.

You're lucky that it's only a month and not 3 or more like it will be in other places. It annoys me when people get mad at companies about things like this. While I understand that it's not fair for one country to get it, while others have to wait, I also understand that Eidos is a business, and they are going to do whatever they feel is the best. They have their own reasons for releasing the game when they are, and if it was possible for them to release them all at the same time, and make the same profit off of them, I'm sure they would. There are some things I might understand getting angry about, but 1 month isn't one of them.

ive always loved the legacy of kains but never could buy one because of money but know ive safed up and after it said it will be out in nov 2003 all the way up to a few weeks or days away you say we will not bring it out in english in europe write now even though we could we will wait till feb 6 2004 and relly pee me off::

Just to let you know, the delay of releasing the games before Feb. is actually beyond Eidos' control. The time between when we hand off code to when the game is manufactured is a lot longer in Europe, so it is better to guarantee a date that can be met. I hope you can understand.

So I have to wait 4 months now in order to get a copy o fthe game.

i understand that things happen in the games development that i dont under stand but why wait so late and so near to the origanl date to tell us the release date

This might sound dumb but... could anybody tell me what he said... I understood it like this: They sent off the game code to Europe... Europeans messed up because it takes them to configure the code for PAL a lot longer... so they guaranteed the date 14th (or was it 6th) of Febuary... And my guess is if the PAL version gets done it's gonna be released at that time... (hopefully before Febuary)

One remaining thing... umm... somewhere it was said that they have the PC version ready to be burned... was this correct or incorrect??

OK. Fair enough. Now that I got that whinging out of the road. Feb's not too bad. I mean when the makers of FFX took half a year after the Japanese realise to get it to the US then took a half year holiday before they did it for the UK, that really P'd me off. Plus Feb's my birthday and their is Manhunt coming out this month (Manhunt is Rockstar's next game. They made GTA.), unless that changes as well. Dunno about the US realise for that. Still it will keep me happy until Feb.
