If you have been a diehard fan of the series since the original and do not want any spoilers, do not check out the cast and character lists at www.legacyofkain.com.

Probably because he plays a major role, and his existence in the Blood Omen era shouldn't be a huge surprise =).

You know, if you didn't want to see any spoilers, you might've considered NOT looking up potentially sensitive information like the cast listing.
Is it right there on the site? The few times I've visited, I've noticed you have to do a little clicking to get to anything that might be considered spoilerish. You would've had ample opportunity to back out. Please, don't get upset with the web team because you chose to visit their site - they cannot be liable for your actions, they can only be held accountable for theirs - and in the end, keeping yourself from viewing spoilerish material is in your hands, not theirs.

No game company I have ever seen has put information like that on their game site. And it wasn't hard to stuble upon at all. Anyone looking for a picture of Raziel will find it in seconds.

It may not be a big spoiler, but I know now that whenever some one says to not visit a site I won't visit. That thing about janos about a month or 2 ago really messed things up for me.

Riovanes, are you trying to get a job with eidos or CD? You defend them like they are your mother who gave you everything. I mean no one is perfect and perhaps CD and Eidos knowing full well the fans would be going to the website could have waited until the game released along with the guide to post some of the characters and locations, even though it still does not explain how they tie in with the story. Sure, people should use self-control if they know they will be entirely let down should the story be revealed before they actually discover it for themselves in their own time.
However, I have seen many game sites that do wait to post some of the info that might cause certain fans to stumble. So, I don't get your defending this company like it was the pope attitude. You make logical points, but rather to a fault. |

It's really not a matter of the company, Zephon, because I've been doing this for quite some time now. I dislike it when people complain about things they've found, when they had complete control over whether or not they saw that information. You don't want spoilers about the cast, don't visit the cast/characters section of the website - if you don't want the locales in the game spoiled, don't go digging up terrain screenshots - it's really just that simple. If you don't want spoilers, then don't look for information regarding the thing you don't want spoiled - or if you do, be careful where you look.
Again, it's got nothing to do with CD. I just hate the, "something bad happened, and I won't accept responsibility for my own hand in bringing it about, so I'm going to blame YOU," attitude. *shrugs*

yeah zephon, rio might be a bit defensive on cd's side, but rio is right. if you ask me, you're asking for spoilers clicking on anything other than "pre-order now!" buttons.

They have to tell people *something* about the game in order to get them interested in playing =).
I have a feeling that Mortanius is on the site because he will play a substantial role throughout Defiance. I also have a feeling that there are other characters who will make an appearance but who are remaining secret for now so as to avoid spoiling the plot. |

ok. fine, but I am not the author of this thread, and I could care less if I found out the ending of the game this instant. I am still going to play and enjoy it. My quesion to Rio was not really about the author's complaint about the site spoiling it for him. I do agree about the whole "enter at your own risk, and if you get hurt blame no one but yourself" point, but I also know the temptations placed upon an eager gamer that could be easily controlled by not releasing that info period. That is my point. I myself will not cry over spilled milk. I was merely offering my opinion about official game sites.

Good God. SR2 ends at the end of the Sarafan Vampire Purge. Mortanius is obviously going to be alive. Just that he appears is not ground breaking. I'm sure they'll be MUCH more interesting content & characters.
