Smile Saving the game

I think that I'll save at every checkpoint in case I encounter any fatal glitches in this game.

For the first time through, I'm going to save at every single checkpoint (since I have no idea what might hop out at me! ), but after that, I'll just play it the way I now play BO2 and save at every few checkpoints.

I'll save fairly often like I did through BO2 the first time. In case the game crashes or anything I'll want to restart from the earliest part possible. I don't want to end up spending all my time saving though.

Default I'd.....

.....save often It's easy to say suprises may want me to go back through them a lot. I'll probably end up with a memory card full of saves at different points.

I'm one of those "when I feel like it" individuals. I usually save if I take a break during play. (Say for class or something). I have been known to mix it up a bit though, and save when I head into difficult areas. Depends on my mood I guess.

I know, I know... **sigh** women.

Thumbs up

I'll save when I feel like it.

I don't like to save at every checkpoint or every now and then. In that case, it sometimes starts to feel that you save more than play the game itself.
I also don't like to not save at all, sometimes I'm in the mood of moving forward in the game quickly, probably anticipating some potential cut-scene.
But on the other hand, perhaps I feel like teasing myself and postponing the potential cut-scene by doing all the neat and utterly awesome stuff LOK-D's gameplay has. See? It's all in the mood.

its hard to say for me in the soul reaver series i hardly ever saved as if i were to die i was almost 100% sure to not die in the spirit world so i didnt think saving was needed till i was gunna stop playing. but i dont know how it works in d i might save more often if in this game as i am unsure on how it will work if kain is depleted of health what happens to him..... obviously he cant go into the spirit world that raziel can shift to

well I hope they do change the save system so you can save whenever you want. Its annoying having to save only at certain parts.

It looks like they'll be using Blood Omen 2's save point system. In other words, you can go into the menu and save whenever you want, but when you load you'll always go back to the last checkpoint you reached before you saved. Except, of course, that you'll probably be able to activate any given checkpoint more than once, because Defiance won't be nearly as linear in level design as Blood Omen 2 was.

since i'm a save-aholic, i'm worried about how often i'm going to be running back to that checkpoint

Every check point. I want to be able to pick up where I left off. No retracing unless I really like a particular part.

I shall save when ever I feel like it... I don't really have a problem running back to checkpoints to save as this is a common thing for me in Castlevania.

I'm a save whenever I want kinda guy for the most part. There we're time in SR2 that saving at any time would have been handy, but it worked out just fine.

Cool

I usually save as often as possible. For some reason I have a tendancy to die or have to stop playing at the most unfortuante times. So, the more I save, the less I have to replay. However replaying may be a good thing in theis game.
