some info please

i am a new player to the legacy of kain series and hope someone could help me out. i have played soul reaver and soul reaver 2 and am a little confused as to how the 5 games fall together like as in what order or if soul reaver and blood omen are even a series together i guess basically what i mean is if you were to follow a basic 1,2,3,4,5 rule like final fantasy what order would the games go.

soul reaver ____
soul reaver 2____
blood omen ____
blood omen 2____
defiance ____


judging by what i have read i am assuming defiance is the latest game in the series.

The order the games were/will be released in is:

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2
Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2
Legacy of Kain: Defiance

if that is the order in which you would play the games from start to finish then yes that is what i wanted to know. so since i have played soul reaver 1 and 2 i missed the first game in the series and the last released game other than defiance

That is the order they were released, but due to time travel in the games, the actual order of when the games take place is a lot different.

i guess i will just buy the other two games and play them. seems to be alot simpler

from a timeline POV:

1. The very end of SR2
2. The very beginning of SR2
3. BO1
4. BO2
5. the future time in SR2 (the middle bit)
6. SR1-SR2 intro



It doesn't matter what order you play them in. I played SR1&2 then played the blood omen games in order.
